Universal Canon wired remote, January 28, 2012

This remote has good and bad points:
The “good” is that it has both male and female plugs, so it will work with a very wide range of Canon camera bodies.
The “bad” is the very short 16″ cord. Many users of these remotes opine in Amazon reviews that the 36″ cords typical on most aftermarket Canon remotes are too short. With the camera on a tripod at eye level, the 16″ cord on this remote is so short that most users would not be able to hold it with their arm relaxed at waist level, meaning that there might be a fatigue factor involved after a while, having to constantly hold your arm up next to the camera.
