      Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?)

Bought this and two spare batteries as a company mascot. Flew it around indoors until the dog was no longer afraid of it.

Once outside, elevated it about 10 feet high in an open field, and suddenly it skied up to about 60 feet, and started to follow the wind with a mind of its own. As it departed, it raised to perhaps 120-150 feet, disappeared into a neighborhood, and that was that.

Probably not the fastest $300 I ever lost, but it ranks “up there.”

This bird not ready for prime time.

Anyone need the indoor foam protector and a couple of batteries?

The product is pricey but it’s worth it. Many people don’t understand the kind of technology that went into this product and don’t know what it costs.

flying it is a lot of fun. I would recommend flying it inside the house as the toy is pretty fragile. Also, buy a second battery. The charge time is about 90 minutes and flight time is from 10 to 15 minutes. I hope they design a larger battery to increase the flight time. the drone has a lot of lift power so a battery that was twice the capacity should not be a big deal to carry around.

Also, Amazon sells squaretrade warranty for around 60 bucks for 3 years and that covers accidental breakage so i think it’s worth the money as you are going to break a thing or two on this toy.

I hope Parrot will implement a record function as a future improvement.

This is a nice unit. BUT Buyer beware. The company is selling this with the POTENTIAL (only) to run on android. You MUST have a seperate device IE newer laptop with win 7 to update the firmware. I tried to update it with my antiquated vista, no go, even tried with my tablet. The problem is until you update the firmware android will not talk to the device (used motorola tablet xoom). The firmware currently 1.7.4 is available for free to download from Parrot.

Parrot really should have updated their product before shipping. Bad for them and is why I only gave them 4 out 5 stars. If you cant control the machine after you have flown it and messed with the settings. Simply uninstal the flight app and reinstal (on your android device). This firmware also resolves some issues the i-phone and i-pad users are having.

Hope this helps and Happy Holidays!
